tasty wine, but rough around the edges.

medium body, sweet juicy tannins and enough acidity. very ripe upfront but finishes slightly sour and crude.

blackcurrant, blackberry jam, and ripe black cherry. plum. big whiff of green pepper, pencil shavings, cocoa, and mint jelly.

this is a slight step up from the 2012 and a good bottle for guests and parties, or cheap weeknight drinking.
