92 Points

Sunday, February 22, 2015 - Tasted during a South Australia vineyard safari. This apparently gets more American oak and is a parcel selection of the Squid Ink wine. Very dark purple. Nose of dark berry, oak, scorched earth, meat. Full bodied palate with solid tannic structure. Good overall freshness and balance despite the high alcohol. If you like the more of everything style this is a wine to try. Since it is from McLaren Vale it is not as hot as the Barossa version of these kind of wines.
