Monday, April 4, 2016 - Had it without decanting. The aroma goes right up your brain: oak, smoke, spices. After such a strong aroma one expects that the taste will be just as powerful, masculine and uncompromising. But... The taste is surprisingly smooth with soft tannins. I would even say that in contrast to the smell the tannins are almost elusive. On the palate, dark berries and light tones of sweet-pea pepper. Finished the bottle up the next day - all leveled: the aroma became softer and the flavor got bolder. As a result, an excellent balance.
