Sunday, February 28, 2016 - Visual appearance
Straw pale colour
Fine pearls, not too many though

Nose
Yeast, chalk; chalk minerals dominant
A tiny hint of nuts (not as strong as the Lecouvey) and pepper

Taste
Good mouthful
Well rounded: refreshing first sensation, followed by some mineral body, ending a long sweet finish
Less sweet than the others tasted
Apples (not green but sweet), then minerals,

Finish
Nice and long, not acidic but focus on minerals, some bitterness at the very end

Summary
Nicely bodied, solid champagne. Well balanced and ticks all the boxes: nose hints at some yeast, palate initially gives a sense of semi-sweet red apples, before the minerals kick in and end in a long finish that has notes of minerals and fruit all the way through.
