Wednesday, July 1, 2009 - Color is more vibrant than I expected given the maturity on this port. Nose is beautiful - caramel, fig, cherries abound. A little overpoweringly sweet for my taste, but not by much. Just makes the balance off a bit. Less spice flavors than I expected. Alcohol and acidity are both in line with expectations. Hints of chocolate on the finish. Overall, a real blockbuster!
