Sunday, February 12, 2012 - Followed previous taster notes for decanting: opened bottle at 10:30, decanted at 1:30 and rebottled for transit at 5:30. A very good bottle, removed the cork without degradation and ullage was low neck. The color was deep purple, clear (not cloudy) and slight brownish hue on the edge. The only hit on this port was it is still a little hot but not terribly in the way of texture or taste so it did not put the wine out of balance. Great, fine texture and lively fruit with hazelnut and fig in the background. Served with sharp and blue cheeses and chocolate. May buy more.
