Monday, July 15, 2013 - Tremendous. I decanted and poured back into clean bottle. This had all of the markers of a beautiful well aged Port. Sweet figs and plums and lightly spiced tobacco leaf were some of the strong perceptions I tasted. I was really happy with how fresh this wine was. At 43 years old this dark beauty with slight pink on the edges was really spry and nimble. The wine had plenty of tart acid that gave it a very fresh and light bodied attack. Two of us nearly finished the bottle in a couple of hours.
