Monday, July 28, 2014 - Two bottles opened and decanted, from two separate unidentified Uk bottlings. The first decanter was sublime, immense colour, really vivid with beautiful youthful bouquet, a palate which was completely integrated and gave the impression of satin. The second decanter was equally youthful in colour but the spirit came through more strongly and gave the wine a slightly dry edge. The tannin's here remain immense but the fruit in the first decanter completely covered them, whilst in the second they poked out a bit. The first decanter was a wonderful example of fine Vintage Port, good bottles of this vintage should have a 100+ year lifespan.
