Sunday, December 25, 2016 - What a good bottle. Fragile saturated cork. Decanted 5 hours. Disappeared with great alacrity after Christmas lunch at Whitwell. Not quite the geraniums and roses of the 1963 or the 1966, but a thrilling acidity to balance the sweetness, and an overall result which hits many of the right spots. Lovely.
