Saturday, January 9, 2021 - This bottle was from a 2011 "Private Cellar" direct release from Graham's. Decanted for 4 hours. The cork was in ridiculously good condition, seems like it was 15-20 years old (was this re-corked?). The color was a medium red with some garnet on the rim. This was still full of strawberry and plummy fruit, with baking spices, raisins and hints of licorice. Still holding a lot of sweetness and tannins. Slight heat, which hints that perhaps more decanting would have been in order. Youthful and vigorous. This was quite explosive and long on the palate. A gorgeous wine with still some upside (at least for these 2011 released bottles).
