Wednesday, January 12, 2022 - Short decant. In a pretty good place. Nutmeg, ripe and cooked blackberry, black tea, cola, saturated oakwood, and a resinous overtone were the aromas. Nice fruit intensity on the entry with a distinct French vanilla component from the oak. Some red floral accents on the mid. Balanced, crunchy acid and med- tannins kick in as the flavors fall off on the med- finish. Drink now and for and for another year or two. Very good 88.
