Saturday, February 5, 2011 - A constantly evolving nose of ripe black cherries, black plums, cinnamon, and clove, which gives way to candied orange peels, breakfast sausage, sous bois, and sandlewood with air. Sweet and savory on the palate, its youthful exuberance now mature and nuanced, with terrific balance and acidity. A slightly capricious wine, but an enchanting one at that, that's at its peak, so drink up now because I don't think it's going to get any better. 90-91 points.
