After a few hours in the decanter, the wood backed off and it did develop more flesh, medicinal black cherry fruit, vanilla, and even a touch of chocolate. That said, I still found the wood and the acidity to be too aggressive on the back end. This is very, very young Bosconia, but given these real concerns about the balance, I'm not inclined to lay away bottles and bet on its achieving more satisfying equilibrium down the road. Very different impression than the '94 Tondonia left the other night.
