Saturday, September 26, 2020 - Sweet cherry fruit, spice, untoasted oak (reminiscent of walking into a barrel room - which I mean in a positive way). Fruit is somewhat ripe, but considering the alcohol at 14.3% it's not hot (but it is noticeable). Has the acid and tannins to go several more years, but chose to drink this last bottle now since I was afraid the alcohol might overwhelm the other elements if I sat on it for a few more years. But I was wrong and think it has the right balance to go several more years. Still great wine, but somewhat boozy.
