Monday, February 6, 2017 - Deep color, almost opaque, purplish. Powerful aromas of tar, black licorice and roasted meats. Off-dry, full-bodied. High, dry tannin structure, a bit dusty. Raspberry tartlet, with fresh sage and herbs. N. Rhone like characteristics. Reminiscent of Cornas appellation. In between traditional and new world. Nicely done and should improve with additional 2-3 years of cellar time.
