Thursday, December 22, 2011 - My favorite Australian white wine, with the expectations to match. But when compared to many other vintages this wine does not seem to be as well balanced, with oak a little too obvious - especially for a wine of 8 years (almost 9 years).
That being said it is still a wonderful wine with a long palate and that classic silky mouth feel of aged whites. There was still some youn fruit at the front.
I will continue to buy this wine. Recommend giving any leeuwin art series Chardonnay at least 7 years before approaching.
