Saturday, August 11, 2007 - Can Leeuwin Estate do not wrong? Another amazing vintage of what I consider the world's best new world Chardonnay.
The wine is a tropical monster bomb on the nose, in the mouth, and in the finish. A flawlessly balanced wine that integrates fruit, oak, and acidity into a beautiful "juicy" wine that satisfies you throughout the tasting experience. On the nose we sniff a tropical melange of this wines trademark citrus driven pineapple. In the mouth the wine is thick and coats the mouth like tropical honey oil. The wine is high in alcohol at 14% and yet drinks extremely smoothly. This is a must for every serious wine taster.
