Saturday, December 19, 2015 - Poured from properly cellared bottle into glasses and allowed to sit for an hour prior to tasting. Soft blue fruit aromatics with hint of perfumed flowers. Mid palate shows off well judged sharp acidity ending with well matched tannins. Finish brings a hint of secondary flavor, but maintains blue fruit characteristics. Finish is 10-15 seconds. Score would be higher, but is often the case with second labels, depth lacking a bit with fruit that didn't make the cut into the 2012 Vineyardist. Quality winemaking evident, but price a bit high for this second label compared to other wines playing in this market price. Enjoyable.
