Sunday, March 28, 2010 - Big, ripe dark fruit. I definitely see the differences from the more subtle '04, and understand how people can feel this is over-ripe and extracted, with stewed fruit. I however felt it was delicious, due to the combination of the acidity, meat notes, herbs, and overall balance. I suggest you let it sit in a decanter for 2+ hours, as it definitely opened up later in the evening.
