Saturday, December 24, 2011 - Lovely gentle spices and hints of earthiness with red fruits in the main. Looked well in the glass, deep red in colour, no purple hue. Surprisingly light bodied but little of the heat commented on by others. Delicate ripe fruits with plenty of mineral and spice backdrop. Tannins evident but far from harsh - this was a beautifully balanced bottle and the sort of wine it was worth savouring every mouthful. Delicious.
