Opens up gradually in the glass displaying a wonderful and complex bouquet of dark fruit, kirsch, garrigue, lavender, leather, spices, chocolate and smoky cedar-wood. Immense depth and concentration, big yet beautifully balanced with a sound structural framework complimenting the rich fruit. Most likely the best red I’ve had during my relatively short history as a wine enthusiast – sadly this was my only bottle (97-98 points).
