Monday, December 1, 2008 - I'm not liking this bottle as much as the first one. On the second night it started coming together nicely on the nose, with plum fruit, cedar, and maybe a hint of church incense. Slightly flat on the palate, but with some tobacco, smoke and toasty oak showing through. Pretty serious tannic grip. I'm not getting the dynamism I enjoyed from the prior bottle, but still a solid wine.
