Thursday, April 2, 2015 - Shock-decanted and then seriously swished for most of an hour before pairing with pizza and an Italian salad. A medium clear bright ruby in the glass leading out to slightly thinned edges. The nose features candied dark cherries, a hint of raisin/prune, tobacco and a hint of Iris. Quite fruit-forward on the palate, with very good intensity and concentration. Definitely very young, but very good room for improvement. Will hold remaining bottles for 3-5 years before trying again.
