Sunday, May 10, 2015 - Our first bottle was opened a few weeks after it arrived and did not show well. This, however, was beautiful. Floral and tangy red fruit notes hit the nose first, followed by smoke and briar elements (from stem inclusion?) that add intriguing complexity. A pleasure to smell. Treads lightly on the palate, with bitter cherry core that glides along a perceptible but unobtrusive acid spine, punctuated with spice/pepper notes. Hard to put down.
