Monday, July 13, 2015 - Nose: Bright red fruit with hints of "zin spice" and (maybe it's because I was just in the flower section of the store buying my wife an orchid) I catch a subtle floral note.
Palate: Wonderfully light and airy on the palate there isn't a hint of heat anywhere. The tannins are silky and supple with crunchy red fruit strong on the strawberry and cherry.
Finish: Crisp, lively acidity with a lingering tart cranberry aspect with some small hints of vanilla on the backend.
Thoughts: I don't normally drink zinfandel, but wines like this that will change that. So easy to drink with a smooth, lively fruit profile and just the right amount of bite.
