Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - This is my first bottle and it vastly exceeded expectations. Yeast and bread dough lept from the bottle the second the cork popped. Pouring it into a stem revealed an overly generous mousse and a mid golden color which I take as a sign of age, although I just bought this 3 weeks ago. Dominate yeast and bread dough followed through on the palate along with slight flavors of summer fruit. This is the best NV I have ever had, including Bolly's and even better than Krug NV. You know what they say, there is no great wine, just great bottles. I shared this with a friend who totally agreed with this impression. I wonder if this bottle had some bottle age from sitting on the retailers shelf. I certainy intend to go back for more. Oh yeah, the balance and structure were both perfect. I feel deranged, but I am niow sniffing the empty bottle this moring as I write this note. It is just that good.
