Saturday, April 30, 2016 - Upon opening the wine had strong spritzy character, to much acidity and bright red fruit. My wife had a similar view.
We decanted and left for 90 minutes, second try was better, strained and re-bottled (screw cap), will try again tomorrow night.
Tried again next night, marginally better but still very acidic, not very gentle mouth feel and not really all that pleasant.

2/21/2017 5:07:00 AM - Screw cap!?! Are you sure you had 2004 Giaconda Shiraz Warner Vineyard? Mine are stoppered with corks, and this sounds nothing like my recent experience (or that of other tasters) with this wine.
