Thursday, March 24, 2016 - Opened and poured, this wine gave a very good showing with aromatics of dark fruits, spice, wood and some subtle bug spray notes. The color is a translucent, youthful dark ruby. The medium bodied palate comes across as somewhat lean with very good balance overall. The medium length, tart finish shows moderate structure with youthful fruit and tannin. At this stage the wine gives a very good showing; however, some elements detract from the overall impression. If these elements dissipate with bottle age this wine should give a more impressive showing in a few years.
