Tuesday, May 5, 2015 - Tried one last night after few cases delivered.... Not actually as dark as I expected for the varietal. Very smooth with a pop n pour. Lacks serious complexity or breath and little nose, however great length and 'harmonious' - no alcohol showing and very elegant. Almost like a more Burgundian take on Malbec. Not going to threaten my top malbecs, but for 1/4 the price this is a great recommendation for a weekday or house wine. Would be a great restaurant wine. Wife will be drinking when I travel (and when her trusty Colome malbecs have run out). Not sure how this will age, very soft tannins and not masses of fruit - I'll be drinking mine over the next 2rs, no reason to wait. I'd score around the 90-91pt mark.
