Wednesday, December 16, 2015 - Being a fan of new world wines and having lots of problems with many French and Italian wines, I found this wine to be extremely interesting and delicious to me. Beautiful ruby red color. Lots of clean leather and somewhat gamey nose, also some mocha. In the palate is a clean wine and very easy to drink. It is a complex wine with flavors that I know will be changing a lot since it is a very (extremely) Young wine. We drank it alongside a 2010 Sassicaia and 4 ouf 5 liked the Valbuena better.

The Sassicaia is definitely at least 5 years from reaching puberty, but the Valbuena was GREAT at this stage, although I know it has a great potential for aging. Both wines were GREAT !
