Sunday, July 7, 2013 - Very, very pleasant surprise. Bottle had been kept at cellar temp and not moved since purchase upon release. Still very bright red/purple, with only a hint of bricking around the edges. Great aromatics, red fruit and floral. Very fresh, full bodied upon first pour. Chocolate-covered cherries, a citrus note, and good zing on the finish. With air, savory notes of sweet tobacco and dried earth began to emerge, adding complexity. A glass was left overnight in the fridge, and the second day's glass was very much mature, with the cherries turned macerated, and the finish turned leathery, but still very enjoyable. Really an incredible bottle of wine, one of my favorites of the year.
