The nose is very warm and has significant VA lift but also beautifully pure and intense cassis aromas. Very dimensional nose that features refined oak handling, some farmyard and hints of herbal notes. In the mouth, very full bodied with a warm alcoholic finish and a plush texture. Very complex and layered, if not profound - this is new wave Napa in an extremely accomplished manner. Long and complete - a fabulous wine in the Harlan style. Drinking well now but I am reasonably certain this has at least 10 years of positive evolution ahead of it. 94+
