Monday, April 18, 2016 - Among our very favorite CA rosès but given the price point a reasonable but not great QPR wine. Cab franc / cabernet / merlot blend. This was enjoyed at the inaugural tasting of our new wine club last night. Very good, well structured, balanced, no off tones, enough acid present (medium acid / medium body) to stand up to maybe 1-2 years in the cellar but obviously not a wine intended for aging and a very pleasant and rather lengthy finish. Salmon pink, soft floral nose with primary flavors of balanced cherry, strawberry and lavendar up front with some darker tones developing later on the palate. Highly recommend this wine even at this price point - a rather serious wine for a rosè although still perfectly suited as a late afternoon summer deck / grilling wine.
