Sunday, November 29, 2015 - We liked our second bottle better than the first, and I believe it had everything to do with the food that was served alongside. Our first consumption was with Thanksgiving dinner, which had high sugar content in many of the sides and very little fat on the turkey; that ended up being a less than ideal pairing with this particular bottle. The second time, we tried this with deliciously marbled pork chops and a decadent mustard-leek-and-cream reduction - oh my. A completely different experience! I think you need to serve this dry gewurtz with a fatty dish in order to get the best experience. I feel like I drank two different bottles of wine, and much enjoyed our second time around. Delicious!

    Cheers~
