Friday, February 6, 2015 - Dark crimson color. Nose of roasted plum, black currant, balsamic, smoked meat, and cigar box. Similar flavors on the palate with ripe, dark berry fruit, cassis, some meaty flavors and a bit of tobacco. Savory, umami laden finish. Medium+ acid, medium tannins with a silky mouthfeel. Finish could have been a bit longer but overall I loved this wine.
