Saturday, March 5, 2016 - We had a couple of bottles at a private dinner. The host received a few cases through her divorce settlement. Unfortunately she didn't get decent glasses out of that, serving them in some shabby old cristal ones that opened up at the top. That way it was hard to catch the nose, which is one of the best things about Ornellaia, methinks. Nevertheless, agree with most people in here, a great Bolgheri. Highlights: smoke, dark berries, soft tannins, powerful on the palate. Still think this would be even better in 3 to 5 years. The woman should have waited with that divorce.
