Sunday, October 2, 2011 - I opened this at home and drank it over the course of 2 hours. The colour was a mid deep as expected and the nose had a strong bouquet of cherries with a hint of chocolate. The tannins were nicely balanced and there was strong cherry flavours as well. After about 45 minutes I also got surprising tastes of toast and a hint of bacon in the glass. I enjoyed this bottle and wish there were more merlots like Paloma.
