Red and black fruit notes dominate although there's a ripe, raisiny streak running through this that I do not care for. Softened tannins with nice fruit on the palate but again, there's a ripeness to it. I expected more from this, and suspect other bottles will live up to expectations and I'll chalk this one up to bottle variation.
