It was elegant but well-structured in the mouth, with good viscosity and persistence. The problem was that the finish, at this point, has a lingering unpleasant oaky bitterness. It's too bad, because everything else about this wine is so nice... but it's hard to love it when the last taste you're left with is displeasing. However, that bitterness wasn't there 2 years ago, and is likely to fade with some more time, I think.
