Thursday, August 13, 2015 - A noticeable step up from the regular Cabernet Sauvignon, the nose is lovely and alluring, with warm spice, vanilla, and some toasty oak. The body is soft, silky, and elegant; it's big, dense and rich yet still nicely restrained. Notes of mocha, red cherry, blackberry. Perfectly balanced, with a lengthy finish and fairly integrated, fine tannins. I thought it was showing well right now, but certainly has some room to grow (and the stuffing to do so well).

1/22/2016 5:13:00 PM - Between you and Sonkin I am seriously considering a hold on all three bottles. I was going to sell the entire lot off for a loss, but you both seem enamored with it. Today I finally took delivery of the wines in a wood box made of walnut (I think), so very different from everyone else. It's gorgeous and hopefully indicates the level of care that went in to the wine as well. I will Coravin a bottle and see what is inside.
