Saturday, February 3, 2024 - This was a pleasure today. Red fruited, charming and subtle at first but benefitted from time in the decanter. Strawberry and rhubarb, with sassafras and a hint of cola. Good acidity and still some fine tannins hanging around but this feels like it’s on a plateau to me. Neither the length nor the complexity that should be present from the vineyard, but at the same time it is a delightful wine. Serve with a roasted bird.
