Saturday, March 28, 2015 - HDH Burgundy Auction (Chicago, IL): There's a slight bit of sulphur or burnt rubber or something like that but it's not overwhelming. Wow, this just absolutely explodes on the nose with powerful red fruit and spices. Surprisingly bright with lots of ripe red fruit on the palate as well. Despite its ripeness, there is a lovely vein of acidity. Tannins are quite coarse, this still has an uncompromising structure.
