Saturday, December 19, 2015 - This heavily-extracted, opaque crimson wine is somehow able to show more finesse than power. Dark bramble fruits, licorice, smoked meat and black pepper are framed with fresh acidity and silky-textured tannins. Amazingly, the wine's 16.2% alcohol is fully integrated and shows no heat. Dense on the mid-palate and finishing long, this is an impressive offering which should show well for several more years. Drink now-2022.
