Tuesday, March 15, 2016 - More austere than expected. Quite tannic from lips to finish. Subdued but correct ripe cherry and blackberry on nose and palate. Plenty of oak. Really opens up in the glass with some air. Some metallic mineral flavors with some wet tree bark. Kind of grows on you with a mouth coating almost menthol or evergreen flavor that lingers with the earthy cherry.
