Sunday, September 4, 2016 - Deep boysenberry plum jam in color, bright rich saturated opaque shiny appearance. On the nose, tobacco, cedar box, leather, fresh berry fruits mouthfeel is taut tight and gripping with tannis in the front, velcro tannins and it makes it hard to believe this 89 is such a huge long-lived wine with a medium to long finish...a big wine that did not disappoint, fruity and excellent now will not improve further- best to drink up now as starting to show signs of drying out after 2 hours of oxidation.
