It's got some nice flavors in there, but it's also a little rough, and finishes with not much but alcohol. When I remarked as much, and the others said they thought it drank like a much pricer wine (maybe even "expensive"), I opened up a mid-range California cab (not a show-off, only rated 87 in CT). The difference was obvious to everyone. The Castano is not bad, and maybe even good for what it is (a $7 wine) but it's still a $7 wine.
