Saturday, February 17, 2024 - Replacement for the flawed bottle, so served rather too cool. Still, with gentle coaxing this wine showed its quality. Good deep colour, classic Pauillac on the nose, and beautifully balanced on the palate. It is drinking really well now - it's perhaps reached its plateau of maturity (though no hurry).

I actually preferred this to the more flamboyant, sweeter 2009 tasted a few days earlier, as the 2014 is (today at least) more classically structured claret. Excellent QPR.
