Tuesday, May 19, 2015 - Right out of the truck, coravin'd a large glass and let it rest while giving the dog (merlot) an hour-long walk. Ripe blackberry, brambles and charred wood on the nose. Shows some dry tannins beneath rich and approachable dark fruit, cedar, tobacco. An hour of air does this well, will decant the balance of the bottle another day to better gauge, but this appears to have structure and longevity to live up to the hype in WTSO's notes.
