90 Points

Tuesday, October 20, 2015 - Tasting at Elio Grasso (Monforte d'Alba, Piedmont, Italy): Aged in steel tank. Grapes are all Runcot, which are being de-classified in 2014 due to the challenging vintage. Light translucent red. Nose is all about flowers and fresh cut strawberries. Picks up a sweeter, more concentrated strawberry preserves note with time. Light-to-medium bodied with fresh acidity driving the wine through to a tart, red berry finish.
