90 Points

Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - Initially, this showed a striking nose of singed peat moss. Sleek, succulent blackberry liqueur and violet are the main fruit tones that sit beneath secondary aromas and flavors of smoke, fresh turned earth, leather, cedar and campfire. Very masculine and a touch brooding, but never heavy or heady. With air the fruit begins to show a touch of a sappy red note. This avoids having noticeable, even subtle, acids but keeps a nice freshness about it. Finally, there is a nice dollop of herbs and black cherry on the finish, which washes away surprisingly clean, albeit clipped.

Very Good – 90 Pts – Drinking Great Now
